Quality Controls Corporation, a Control System Integrator and equipment manufacturer in Lynnwood, WA, is currently seeking a full time Controls Estimator to join our sales department. This person will evaluate bid documents and prepare project bids and proposals, working with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure accurate scope and competitive pricing. Applicable knowledge and previous experience in the industrial controls industry is required. QCC is seeking a long term, reliable, self-driven candidate who is focused on developing and maintaining strong customer relationships. 1. Work with contractors, vendors, and consultants to identify potential job opportunities
2. Review and evaluate project plans and specifications
3. Develop labor estimates and material take-offs
4. Develop accurate bid proposals clearly identifying proposed scope of work
5. Coordinate with bidding contractors to ensure thorough proposals
6. Solicit vendor quotes for material and services
7. Produce consistent, reliable, and competitive project pricing
8. Follow up on project bids and evaluate bid results
9. Support customers and follow up on potential projects until sale is final
10. Support project management and engineering staff through construction phase as needed
1. Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the industrial controls industry
2. College degree preferred, but education requirements dependent on industry experience
3. Excellent organization and time management skills
4. Excellent verbal and communication skills
5. Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Adobe, Bluebeam, AutoCAD)
